Firmware and NVS for the WLAN

I found that I needed to copy the ti-connectiity folder into /lib/firmware rather than its contents.

[Clarification]

This is 2.6.38.4+ (this is the Ubuntu Natty kernel revision - but my user-space is Angstrom).

My directory structure looks something like

[[File:|--> lib/

            |---> firmware/
                                    |---> ti-connectivity/
                                                                    | wl1271-fw.bin
                                                                    | ......]]

Clarification?

Is this for Ubuntu? On which platform is this?
